The Solon Italian Club is awarding scholarships to students of the 2012 Senior Class of Solon High or members' children that attend other high schools that are students of their 2012 Senior High School Class. Scholarship recipients are limited to students of Italian ancestry (Parents, Grandparents, Great-Grandparents). Applications must be accompanied by an essay citing the impact the student's Italian heritage has had on their life. All submissions will be reviewed anonymously by Committee members to select the winner (or winners) of the award. Criteria used to determine recipients include: academics, after school activities and the quality of the essay. Applications for the 2012 Solon Italian Club Scholarship Program will be available at the Solon High School Guidance Office on February 1st. It can also be downloaded at the Club's website (www.solonitalianclub.org). The deadline for submitting completed applications is April 2, 2012. All applications by Solon High School students must be submitted to the Solon High School Guidance Office and must be verified for class ranking and GPA. For all non-Solon High School students graduating in 2012, their applications, transcripts and essay must be received at Bill Russo's office by April 2, 2012.
